Common name: pothos

Native to Mo'orea in the Society Islands of French Polynesia

It rarely flowers without artificial hormone supplements; the last known spontaneous flowering was reported in March 2021 in south Florida. Prior to this, however, there had been no reported flowerings since 1964.

Light:

Likes bright indirect light. Does not generally like direct sunlight, but can tolerate morning or late afternoon sun.

60-85 ºF

Humidity:

This plant likes moderately humid environments.

Substrate, growing media and repotting:

Normal indoor potting mix with some added perlite works well for pothos.

Watering:

Pothos generally likes to be slightly moist. Water when the top of the soil is dry down an inch. If the leaves appear droopy, that's also a good sign that it's time for water.

Fertilizer:

1 to 2 times a month in the summer and once every 2-3 months in the winter.
